Aston Hall’oween (28 Oct)
Join us for some family friendly spooky fun. Meet the witch hunter as he prowls the Hall looking for witches!
Have a chat with the wise woman who will be sure to have a cure for what ails you, and meet the man of science and medicine as he speaks on the nature of the universe… Is the hall cursed by witchcraft? Join us to find out!
Meet these characters as you explore Aston Hall, a magnificent seventeenth century mansion situated in a picturesque public park. Discover over 400 years of history and incredible stories.

Event Information
- Why not really get into the Halloween spirit by wearing ghoulish attire?
- Aston Hall is open from 12.00noon to 4.00pm, with the last timed entrance to the Hall at 3.00pm. The Stable Yard Café and grounds are open from 11.00am-4.00pm.
Ghost Hunting Academy (1 Nov)
Join us for a light hearted look at the paranormal with our family friendly tour.
Learn the techniques used by paranormal investigators and then take part in an investigation around Aston Hall.
Try using dowsing rods and other detection methods to detect the presence of spirits as we look around this atmospheric old house together. Will you earn your Ghost Hunting badge?
Event Information
- Suitable for children aged 5 to 12 years and accompanying adults. This experience is not suitable for adults not accompanying children.
- Spaces are limited, pre-booking is essential. Your ticket includes general entrance into Aston Hall so you can wander, explore and enjoy.
- The tour will continue for approximately 45min-1 hour and will include going upstairs. We don’t have a lift in Aston Hall, please see our accessibility information.
- The Stable Yard Café and grounds are open from 11am-4pm with hot food served until 3pm.
- Please wear warm clothing and sensible footwear, and Halloween costume is encouraged!
Ghostly Tales: Family Friendly Ghost Tour (2 – 3 Nov)
Families are invited to explore Aston Hall, one of Birmingham’s most haunted buildings, under the safety of daylight and guided by a member of our team.
Hear some of the most well-known of Aston’s ghost stories and try using dowsing rods to detect the presence of spirits as we look around this atmospheric old house together.
