Half-term at Black Country Living Museum

Half-term at Black Country Living Museum

Visit Black Country Living Museum and take a journey from the Victorian Times to the Swinging Sixties and discover how people stayed fit and healthy in generations from times gone by.

From the lotions and potions in the Edwardian chemist to the cures of the 1960s in the Infant Welfare Centre, meet historic characters and discover their challenges and the unbelievable health regimes that belong in the past.

Join in with traditional street games, races and dance classes. Take part in road safety clubs, first aid basics and exercise drills.

Follow the family trail to reveal how grim and hazardous life once was in the Black Country. Investigate how people tried to remedy illness and stay clean using household items, homegrown herbs, and in some cases, even vegetables.

Not forgetting, all the Museum’s usual favourites, with 31 acres to explore, there’s always more to discover: Hop aboard our vintage transport and travel through the decades. Watch incredible live demonstrations. Taste the past with traditional menus in our historic food and drink outlets. Sit back and enjoy a silent movie, enjoy all the fun of the fair — including our new Clock Tower Helter Skelter.

And what’s more – Pay for one day and get a year of free returns!

Book your tickets or come for free with your UnChained Annual Pass:
