Festival of Vehicles
Visit the Black Country Living Museum on Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 June for a Father’s Day weekend blast! The Museum will be shifting into top gear with the Festival of Vehicles, celebrating the rich transport heritage of the West Midlands.
Discover iconic marques such as Bean, Clyno, Guy, Sunbeam, and AJS as a stunning display of vehicles roars through the Museum grounds.
Get up close to historic transport and learn how it evolved over time.
Enjoy a ride on a vintage motor bus through the canalside village, then hop off to explore motor shops and garages once found in the Black Country. Chat with historic characters and our expert transport team to hear how this region once led the world in transport manufacturing. Don’t miss their bostin’ annual cavalcade, a fun ice cream race, and much more throughout the weekend.
While you’re there, enjoy the Museum’s favourites—traditional fish and chips, steak and ale pie, and classic Black Country cobs at the Elephant & Castle pub, alongside authentic ales, pork scratchings, and vintage snacks. See metal-working demonstrations at the chainmakers’ forge, explore underground in our historic coal drift mine, try an Edwardian school lesson, and discover the vital role of canals on a boat dock tour.
The Festival of Vehicles is included with Museum admission and the UnChained Annual Pass – pay once, visit all year.
