Join us at Bishops Wood to take part in nature-based family fun for all ages.

Easter Family Nature Day
Monday 14th April & Tuesday 15th April
10.30am – 3pm

Join our education team in discovering the outdoors this Easter. Follow the Easter trail to find the clues, make some crafts and explore the grounds. Hunt for minibeasts and find out about the wildlife in this area.

May Bank Holiday Weekend, Bluebells-themed Family Nature Day
Saturday 3rd May
10.30am – 3pm

Enjoy exploring the forest and soaking in the sights, sounds and smells of the bluebell woods at their peak. During this self-led walk you can follow the paths and trails, make some bluebell-themed crafts and find out more about these wonderful flowers and other wildlife.

May Half-Term Family Nature Day
Thursday 29th May
10.30am – 3pm

Join us and take part in nature-based family fun for all ages. The team will be running nature inspired activities, such as games, crafts and hands-on activities. We will explore the wildlife and nature around us as Spring is around the corner. The activities are suitable for the whole family to enjoy, allowing you and your children to connect with nature together (and giving you the chance to find your inner child!).

Eco Champions (7+ years) – Dawn Chorus Day
Sunday 11th May
4.30am – 7.30am

Join us first thing in the morning to enjoy the magical sounds of the dawn chorus on International Dawn Chorus day. Whilst exploring Bishops Wood we will identify what birds we can hear and learn interesting facts about them. Discover how to help them in our own gardens. International Dawn Chorus day is on the first Sunday in May each year.

Eco Tots: For families with children age 18 months – 5 years. Children under 12 months are welcome if accompanying a paying sibling. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Eco Explorers: For children aged 5 years – 8 years.

Eco Adventurers: For children aged 8 years – 11 years.

Discovery Days: Events for families with children of any age. Children must be accompanied by an adult. These are free to attend for adults and children but please book your place if you intend on coming along.

Eco Champions: Events for families with children over the age of 7. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Birthday Parties: We can host your birthday party. They run after school, at weekends and in school holidays (depending on availability and centre) and include a range of outdoor activities with an indoor space for your party food.
