
Creative Art Showcase 22 at Bromsgrove School Arena
Creative Art Showcase our local arts-based Charity have been busy again – Showcase 22 will be the biggest event staged by the team yet!
With over 4,000 square metres of exhibition, display and performance space it promises to be a weekend jam packed with activities, for all the family to enjoy.
Entertainment will be provided by Milo on piano, Got to Sing, Helen Pearson soloist, Spoz – poet and writer, Vintage Class, the Rock Choir, Albierto Domingo acoustic and so much more. Performances will intersect the main art and craft workshop space throughout the day with pop up performances happening throughout the Show area.
Claire Allington Creatives Project Manager said “We have been warming up all year with smaller events including pARTy In The Park (Sanders Park) and free fun community paints at Avoncroft Museum to name a couple. The Showcase is our premier event, and we are excited to have so many lovely art and crafters, supporters and Volunteers coming with us again, for a wonderfully creative journey.” We are dedicated to ensuring that all sectors of our community have opportunities to be creative and with the challenges families face going into this Winter we are offering free tickets if you are on Income support or disability benefits” we really hope this helps our hard-pressed communities to take a day out, relax and have a great time.
In Speakers corner we will have interesting talks from the Worcestershire Wildlife Trust and the Woodland Trust who we are promoting and supporting with fund raising activities. Also further talks regarding Creativity and its connection to mental health, from a variety of speakers, including Matt McGuiness stand up performer and guitarist, fresh from a successful show at the Edinburgh Festival, not to be missed.
Nicola Winstanley from Creative Arts UK will be Head Judge of a team on the Flora & Fauna exhibition which has been conceived, managed and Curated by Art Graduates NaaShika & Camilla, more information about our young, international curators on the Creative web site!

Leigh Blakeman from Vintage Class said “We were delighted to be asked to sing at the Creative Arts Showcase event, we are really looking forward to spending Saturday at the event, and then closing the day with songs from the 40s, 50s and 60s. It is wonderful that creative people in Bromsgrove have this platform to showcase what they do.”
Creative Art Showcase 22 is part funded by the National Lottery Community Fund and will be family friendly and include lots of fun, free activities.

Simon from Willowbrook Garden Centre a local family run business is loaning Creative 22 a forest of plants to enhance Flora & Fauna the Curated Art, Sculpture and multi medium fresh young Exhibition inside the Craft Showcase. Creatives CAST – will be on the High Street on 1st October with updates on everything that’s going on and a free community paint, pop by and say hello! You will also be able to book your free taster sessions in the Revitalise your Life Zone and at many of the ‘Make and Take’, taster workshops.
