Christmas Eve – A Story of Nostalgia and Dreams at The Dovehouse Theatre

Christmas Eve – A Story of Nostalgia and Dreams at The Dovehouse Theatre

A new ballet production, “A Christmas Eve, A Story of Nostalgia And Dreams” is coming to The Dovehouse Theatre, Solihull.

Music composed by Alan Fullard. Produced by David Carter.
Story By Anna Kelly.
Performance by Rosettas Ballet Dancers.

This story is set in 1960. The place is Richmond, Yorkshire. The family, Richard Leigh, Mrs Ruth Leigh, and their children, Tristram, aged twelve, and Martha, aged six. Oh! we must not forget the family dog, Jack the Jack Russell.

Nostalgia and Dreams, how we all grow up with those moulding our lives in some form.  As we go through our lives we continue to have dreams and aspirations.  Christmas time brings back memories, more special as we get older. Childhood Christmases are especially poignant, the company, the sights, the smells.  We have our dreams for the future, placed in the forthcoming new year.  Children are caught up in the belief and delight of the happy and magical world of Christmas trees, and fairy lights which remain with us forever.
