Big and Small Science at Thinktank (Saturdays plus half term only)

Big and Small Science at Thinktank (Saturdays plus half term only)

Big and Small Science Busking

At Thinktank this half term and Saturdays in February and March, explore minibeasts and ‘megabeasts’ as we think more about our big and small theme.

Conduct your own biodiversity survey to find minibeasts that live in our native grasslands. Use a digital microscope to explore the microscopic world to explore detail we can’t usually see. Get hands on and explore some of our natural science collection to find out about some ‘megabeasts’ from the past.

Science Busking takes place at 2.30pm – 4pm on Saturdays (from 18 February to 25 March) and Thinktank Half Term activities will run from 10.30am – 12noon weekdays during the half-term (Monday 20th to Friday 24th February). Join us in Find Your Future Gallery on Level 2.

This event is included in the price of admission. No booking is required for this event.

Big and Small Family Show

Join us on a journey that’ll take you from the world of things so small we can’t even see them, to the world of things so big we can’t quite wrap our minds around them. Featuring live, and interactive, science demonstrations.

Our Big and Small Show has something for visitors of all ages (and sizes!)

Join us at 11.30am or 1.30pm on Saturdays (from 18 February – 25 March) and 1pm or 3pm weekdays during half term (Monday 21st – Friday 24th February). Show lasts 30 minutes and takes place in the Theatre on Level 3.

This event is included in the price of admission. No booking is required for this event.

Book tickets here

We recommend that visitors pre-book an admission ticket, particularly at busy times such as weekends and school holidays.
