Accessible Weekend
The Trolleybus Museum has the only wheelchair accessible trolleybus in the UK. We’ll be running it and our accessible diesel bus for less able-bodied visitors to experience this weekend.
We’re also featuring our trolleybuses with chassis manufactured by BUT. British United Traction was what would be called a joint venture set up in 1946 by Leyland Motors and AEC; apart from trolleybuses it made diesel multiple units for railways. And, we’ll have all our usual attractions.
Our usual attractions include a selection of trolleybuses to ride on, Toy and Model Museum, The ‘Sunbeam’ Cycle Shop museum, 1950’s pre-fab home, The ‘Regal’ Lecture Theatre and Cinema and our open areas, including a nature trail.
The Museum also has a well-stocked shop and the Tea Trolley Café provides hot and cold sandwiches, light meals, cakes and drinks – all at reasonable prices.
Getting to the Museum: (Saturday only) we are running free buses to and from Thorne to connect with First South Yorkshire service 387; further details can be found here. justgo North Lincs is an on-demand service providing links from Crowle and Scunthorpe. Trips have to be booked in advance; more details here.
Admission prices: Admission on this day is charged at our Standard Rate – for full details see our Admission Prices page.
