At Swimrite, we have been offering high class, quality lessons across the Dudley Borough since 1973.
Our philosophy is to provide a fun, safe environment for children to learn the basic life skill of being able to swim.
We believe in small classes with the teachers in the water, for a more hands on approach, this allows the teacher to fully support swimmers, even those nervous ones, as they start their swimming journey.
The multitude of days and hours that our lessons operate, allows us to run 121 private tuitions, for those needing extra support that run alongside our group classes. Our scheme embraces all abilities, starting from the age of 3+ in our Super Tot classes and up to the age of 16. We welcome beginners as well as those who wish to join us that can already swim.
We proudly offer a vast variety of swimming equipment to help keep lessons fun, creative and different.
Lessons are all 30 minutes long and will see your child learning a variety of water skills, alongside learning the correct techniques for all four strokes. Our scheme is like no other and wrote by us for a more direct approach in learning to swim.
Both Stewart and I, have many years of experience in swimming, and at many levels. Stewart Nicklin was a highly successful local Head Coach for over 10 years and is now a Team GB Disability coach to a world record holder, he is also the Honorary Championships Coordinator for English Secondary School Association (ESSA)
We support Swim England distance award badge scheme, as well as our very own motivational awards for those smaller step achievements.
Running alongside our weekly term time classes, we also offer holiday intensive courses which are open to anyone. Intensive courses are valuable in helping maintain swimmer’s skills over holidays or providing boosts/build stamina/or work on specific areas a swimmer needs to address.
Swimming is an important basic life skill that should be made available to everyone; therefore, we keep our pricing extremely competitive.
Our lessons run at Wollescote Primary School DY9 8YA on a Monday, Tuesday, and Friday evenings, as well as Saturdays and Sundays. Crestwood High School DY6 8QG runs on a Saturday and Sunday afternoon and evening, as well as a Monday evening.
