Sheffield Manor Lodge

Activities, Attractions

Visit the changing landscape of Sheffield Manor Lodge and enjoy a great family day out discovering our incredible stories.

Explore the story of Mary, Queen of Scots’ time in captivity amongst the ruins and in the Turret House. See a Tudor banquet and have a go at dressing up. You can even visit Sheffield’s oldest toilet!

From spring, the grounds fill with meadows providing the perfect place for a mini best hunt or game of hide and seek. Discover Tudor herbs and their uses in the apothecary garden, get lost in the lavender labyrinth, or play in our sandpit. It’s the perfect place for a picnic, or there’s the Rhubarb Shed Café serving delicious lunches and sweet treats. In school holidays you’ll find children’s trails and crafts to enjoy with a different theme each week.
