Founded by choreographer Sophie Orton, SEDA Academy of Arts is a thriving dance and performing arts academy dedicated to nurturing young talent and encouraging creativity. With a strong focus on confidence, technique, and performance, the academy provides high-quality training for children and young people of all abilities.
At SEDA, classes are designed to be both fun and challenging, helping students build a strong technical foundation while discovering their own performance style.
Whether students are complete beginners or experienced dancers looking to develop their skills further, SEDA provides structured programmes that support every stage of their development.

Performance opportunities are a key part of the SEDA experience. Throughout the year, dancers have the chance to take part in competitions, showcases, and community performances, allowing them to gain valuable stage experience and celebrate their achievements.
One of the biggest highlights in the SEDA calendar is the annual theatre showcase, where students perform in a full-scale production for family and friends. These performances give dancers the opportunity to experience the excitement of being on stage while demonstrating the skills they have worked so hard to develop.
For those looking to take their training further, SEDA also offers performance teams and competitive pathways, helping dedicated dancers challenge themselves and represent the academy at events and competitions.
Class Times
SEDA Academy of Arts runs weekly classes throughout the year:
Monday – 4:00pm to 8:00pm
Tuesday – 4:30pm – 8:00pm
Wednesday – 4:00pm to 8:30pm
Thursday – 4:00pm – 8:30pm
Friday 4:00pm – 9:00pm
Saturday – 9:00am to 4:00pm
Class Styles: Street Dance, Contemporary, Lyrical, Jazz, Musical Theatre, Ballet & SEND.
Additional rehearsals, workshops, and private coaching sessions are also available during performance and competition seasons.
