Hillsborough Leisure Centre is a pillar of the local community, offering everyone the opportunity to get active. Managed by Everyone Active in partnership with Sheffield City Council, there’s something for everybody at Hillsborough.
The fantastic facilities include two swimming pools, with water slides, a pirate ship and a wave machine, as well as traditional lane swimming and Everyone Active’s award-winning swimming lesson programme.
Hillsborough is proud to offer gymnastics lessons to children from just 18 months old through to teenagers, so whether your child is just beginning or is an experienced gymnast, there’s the perfect class for them. There’s also a range of trampolining lessons for all children over 2 years old, including inclusive sessions and lessons for teens who are 16+ and want to work on key skills.
There’s a six-court sports hall where your family can enjoy an array of sports, a large and well-equipped gym, two group exercise studios and a dedicated group cycling studio. The gym offers junior sessions to anyone over the age of 11, so that children can learn how to keep fit in a safe and supervised environment throughout their teenage years.
The centre also boasts two cafés, so you can refuel the family after a fun and energising session. You’ll find plenty of parking space on-site too.
About Everyone Active’s swimming lessons
Lessons start for children as young as 4 months old and are available for all ages, with students working towards badges and certificates, collecting them at each stage. The swim teachers are all Swim England (or equivalent) qualified.
Running for 50 weeks of the year you can join lessons at any time! Choose from private one-to-one lessons, adult lessons, adult and child lessons or junior lessons.

- Lessons are available up to 50 weeks of the year and up to 7 days a week, with a break over the Christmas period at most centres.
