Here at Drama Tots we are passionate that children learn through play. Children love the world of make-believe, it is a concept which comes instinctively to them. We focus that enthusiasm by taking the children on an exciting adventure each week. We ignite a spark in young imaginations and explore each new theme using roleplay, music and movement plus a variety of props, puppets and instruments. We are certain that through Drama Tots your child will build the foundations to be a sociable, confident and creative child. Most importantly, we smile, we laugh and we have fun!
WHICH CLASS IS RIGHT FOR MY CHILD?
Our classes are split into 2 categories to enable the sessions to be tailored specifically to your child’s developmental levels.
The Drama Tots Solihull programme has been carefully written using the Early Year Foundations Stage guidelines.
When children play ‘make-believe’, they are learning about themselves and the world around them.
Rising Stars (From around 18months – 3 years)
Bright Stars (Approximately 3 and 4 years)
Each child is different and we will discuss with you the best time to move to the next level of class based on many factors such as confidence levels and other developmental needs.
WHAT ABOUT THE GROWN-UPS?
Drama tots sessions are designed for carers and children to spend quality time together. We want you to lose yourselves in the wonderful world of your child’s imagination. We hope that you will take ideas from our sessions and recreate them in your own play at home. Each child requires different levels of support in the classes, some children require more input and encouragement than others but either way children love to see their grown-ups joining in and having fun!
WHAT WILL MY CHILD LEARN?
Dramatic play engages children in both life and learning. It increases their understanding of the world they live in, while developing all important personal skills such as confidence, self-awareness, communication, language skills and creative thinking.
