Summer Brass Concerts
With support from the Durham Brass Festival, we are pleased to announce the return of our free summer brass concerts.
Local bands will perform concerts over 6 weeks on selected Sunday afternoons over the Summer in our park Amphitheatre. We look forward to welcoming a selection of local colliery brass bands who will bring music to the ears of our visitors.
The concerts are not to be missed. What better way spend a Sunday afternoon in the park. Pack a picnic, bring a blanket, sit back relax and enjoy the music.
We advise visitors to be aware that Wharton Park’s car park will be busier than usual on concert days therefore allow extra time for parking as you may need to find alternative parking. Street parking is available on North Road and Framwellgate Peth between St Cuthbert’s Church and Wharton Park. Durham Park and Ride buses also drop off on North Road. County Hall car park can be used for overflow parking on the concert days.
