Botany Bay is proud to be an independent garden centre and nursery, trading for 50 years.
The Botany Bay business originally started life as a pick-your-own fruit business before progressing into bedding plants and perennials. With this heritage we are passionate about plants, growing many of the plants found the garden centre right here on the nursery.
Being independently owned is reflected in our individual approach and attention to detail. The personal touch is very important to us and we always aim to provide a friendly, reliable and knowledgeable service.
There’s no big secret to growing your own food – just a little time and care. And you don’t need acres of land to do it!
There are so many advantages to growing your own fruit and vegetables, the fresh air and exercise, feeling fit and healthy and the satisfaction of sitting down to a meal knowing that it was provided from your own garden.
You can grow fruit and vegetables in container pots, grow bags and some varieties even grow in hanging baskets.
We have an great range of fruit bushes, fruit trees and herb plants for most of the year.
Vegetable and Salad Plants:
During the spring and summer seasons we have a comprehensive range of vegetable and salad plants to choose from. The majority of our stock comes from local or British growers and we have weekly deliveries to ensure stock levels and freshness.
Hardier Veg such as Sweetcorn, Sprouts, Spinach, Early Purple Sprouting, Leeks, Lettuce in many varieties, Kale, Celeriac, Celery, Broccoli, Broad Beans, Beetroot, Carrots, Cauliflower, Chard, Asparagus.
Tender Veg such as Tomatoes in many varieties including Tumbling Toms for hanging baskets, Peppers, Chilli Peppers, Aubergines, Cucumbers, Courgettes, French Beans and Runner Beans.
