Barnards Miniature Railway host a yearly event where they invite visiting locomotives from all across the UK to Barnards. The site is based in Brentwood to help run a passenger service and operate a number of special trains.
Look out for the heritage freight train with wagons dating back to 1972. Glen Dowd branch line specials, and special trains operated with the fleet of Mardyke locomotives, a firm based up the road in Bulphan with an incredible history of miniature railways.
The team are busy organising the locomotives for this event from today. An announcement of the line-up on the run up will be shared. Several miniature traction engines and steam lorries will be navigating the site, offering something else to enjoy meandering around.
Barnards Miniature Railway will be running train services on this day.
Gates open at 11:00 and the last train leaves at 16:00.
Trains run at regular intervals through the day.
