East Grinstead Community Bonfire

The East Grinstead Community Bonfire is a vibrant and traditional event that brings the Sussex Bonfire tradition to East Grinstead. Formed in 2022, this event has quickly become a staple in the community, with its first torchlit procession taking place in October 2023.

The event is typically held in mid-October, with the 2024 event scheduled for Saturday, October 19th. The festivities include a torchlit procession, a bonfire, and a spectacular fireworks display, all held at East Court. The event is not only a celebration of community spirit but also a fundraiser for local charities.In addition to the main event, the East Grinstead Community Bonfire also hosts other activities throughout the year, such as a popular Bingo Night in June. The event is run by a dedicated team of volunteers who assist with various roles, including marshalling the procession route and securing the bonfire and fireworks site.
