Sensory play sessions – Hands-on play sessions for under 5s
Come along to our monthly sensory play sessions, where under 5s explore a different theme each time and get hands on with crafts, interactive activities, songs, stories and more. Drop in at any time between 10.30am-12.30pm or 1pm-3pm to join in the fun. No booking required and it’s FREE for visitors with a museum ticket.
Saturday 25 November 2023: Life on the Home Front
What was it like to be child during World War II? Learn more about life during the war through handling objects and dressing up in 1940s clothes, and found out what other people did to help the war effort. Learn about what the people at West Bar station did during the war and why Sheffield was such an important place. There’ll be some period songs and a story too.
Friday 15 December 2023: It’s Christmas!
Merry Christmas everyone! At our last sensory play session of the year we’ll be singing Christmas songs and listening to a special Christmas story. We’ll be getting messy creating tree ornaments and Christmas cards too, and wrapping presents to put under our very own Christmas tree.
