Take a road trip with The Muppets this summer at Family Time.
The Muppet Movie tells the origin story of The Muppets, who take a road trip across America – from Kermit’s swamp in Florida to Hollywood – to start their careers in show business.
Along the way, they are pursued by Doc Hopper, a greedy restauranteur who wishes to employ Kermit as spokesperson of his fried frog legs franchise.
This wonderful musical road movie received Academy Award nominations for its score and for the unforgettable song, “Rainbow Connection”. A landmark achievement of puppetry, this film launched the cinematic careers of The Muppets and their creator Jim Henson, remaining beloved for generations. In 2009 it entered the National Film Registry for it’s a cultural and historical significance.
The Muppet Movie is rated U, suitable for all ages. For fans of Paddington, The Muppets Mayhem, and Planes, Trains and Automobiles.
