Blues & Twos Weekend
“Blues” are the blue flashing lights and “Twos” the two-tone horns on fire engines, ambulances and police cars!
The Trolleybus Museum’s annual Blues and Twos event will be held over the weekend of 30th September and 1st October 2023. There will be a fascinating display of retired vehicles from all the services, and during the two days the team will give demonstrations of fire and rescue procedures – often involving smoke bombs and large volumes of water!
In addition, there’ll be the Museum’s usual attractions, including trolleybus rides, a Toy Museum, replica Cycle Shop museum, pre-fab home, Lecture Theatre and Exhibition Centre. The Museum also has a well-stocked shop and the Tea Trolley Café provides hot and cold sandwiches, light meals, cakes and drinks – all at reasonable prices.
The Museum is open from 10.30am to 4.30pm. Admission prices are: Adult £12; Seniors (61+) £10; Concessions (children age 5-15, registered disabled people and a carer, registered students) £7.50, Families (2 Adults and 2 Concessions) £34 and Seniors + Family (2 Seniors plus 2 Concessions) £30.50.
