Wakefield Museum is getting ready to move! We are making an exciting new Library & Museum and we want families to be part of it.
Join us for an exciting summer full of fun hands-on activities for ages 2 to 5.
Enjoy multi-sensory storytelling as we learn all about where we live.

From rhubarb to romans, galas to street fairs, we love a festival!
Join the party, make some noise and celebrate with some fabulous festival fun.
* Thursday 10 August – Moving Around *
Trains, cars, bikes and boats help us to move around!
Move, make, carry and spin in a session all about transporting things from one place to another.
* Wednesday 16 August – Entertainment *
Bring along your mini musicians and movie stars!
We’re putting on a show with masks, puppets and costumes.
Explore the world of live entertainment, theatre and song together with us.
* Thursday 24 August – Toys and Games *
Let’s play!
This week we’re opening the toybox from the past.
What would happen if the toys in the Museum came to life?
Find out and make your own mini toys to take home!
* Thursday 31 August – Time Travel *
Let’s travel back in time together! Join us to experiment with textures, sounds and smells from the past*.
