
The Great White Food Festival
A brand-new food festival is set to take place in Harrogate that has the backing of arguably the UK’s greatest ever chef, Marco Pierre White.
Called The Great White Festival, it’s set to take place on 28 to 30 October with the town’s Royal Hall and Convention Centre being the main focal point for Marco’s cooking demonstrations and Q&As.
Yorkshire is one of the UK’s largest counties and is renowned for its food, Michelin starred chefs and restaurants. The Great White Food Festival will offer a unique opportunity to engage with a captive audience of food and drink lovers in a vibrant, fun, and unique environment that is hosted by Marco Pierre White.
Alongside amazing brands, producers and exhibitors, visitors will be able to enjoy the White Heat cooking theatre, Yorkshire Chefs Kitchen where local chefs will showcase their skills, fabulous pairing experiences from local and international brands and the White Heat experience where guests can watch a cooking demonstration by Marco, friends and followed by a Q&A session.

White Heat Theatre
Marco will be joined on the Royal Hall stage with friends, chefs and mentors from his 45-year career, including for the first time Marco cooking and answering questions with his friend and mentor the legendary Pierre Koffmann. Expect some amazing cooking, some laughs and great chat with Marco Pierre White for the first time back in Harrogate since leaving for the Box Tree.
Le Creuset Kitchen
These masterclasses will showcase delicious dishes made solely Le Creuset; Ali Haigh will be focussing on how we can cook amazing dishes using Le Creuset, Ali will share her recipes as well as her tricks for using this beautiful cookware plants through fun and new techniques.
Delicious treats and gifts in the Artisan Market
We have some wonderful producers and brands that will join us over the weekend! Gifts for Christmas and Halloween fun. Serving up some amazing treats from mouth-watering dishes to brownies, fish and chips to amazing street food packed full of flavour. You will be spoilt for choice.

We will be joined by a fantastic, expert chef line-up across the weekend including Marco Pierre White, Pierre Koffmann, Lucianno White, Darren Coslett-Blaize, Jason Everett, Ali Haigh, Simon Shaw, Lisa Marley, and Willie Harcourt-Cooze. Serving up delicious inspiration in the White Heat Theatre and Le Creuset Kitchen, all sharing their top tips.
Plant Kitchen
These workshops will showcase delicious dishes made solely with plant-based ingredients; Lisa Marley will be focussing on changing the way we think about plants and plant-based eating through fun and new techniques that will create well balanced dishes which can suit a range of dietary requirements.
Tantalising tastings
Bacardi’s drink ambassador Tony Hogan will be creating some fabulous Bombay Sapphire based cocktails blended with the perfect mixers sponsored by Franklin and Son’s over the weekend with amazing tastings in the Art of Mixology stage. From beer, cheese to coffee, spices to mystery tastings the masterclass stage will have it all.
Halloween Spooktacular
We’ve got lots of Tricks and Treats for you this October at the Great White food Festival… PUMPKIN CARVING! Take a stroll into our pumpkin patch and pick your pumpkin! Then carve them up! But tread carefully… some things live in the pumpkin patch, waiting for you!! Once you’ve carved your pumpkin, take a selfie with the Ghoulish Creatures!! SPOOKACTULAR HALLOWEEN HUNT! Help our scary host track them down, collect the letters and solve the enchantment to imprison them once more! Meet our resident spooks as you go Trick or Treating. As always, there might even be a sweet surprise… timed sessions apply. Win prizes for completing the quiz! REWARDS FOR FANCY DRESS. Dress up in your Spookiest costumes, to receive a sweet treat upon entry.
All the classes are free with your admission ticket but remember to book as many of the classes fill up quickly.

A trip to Great White Food Festival would not be complete without tasting and eating your way through the variety of dishes on offer from a carefully curated line up of street food traders. From mouth-watering toasties to delicious surf and turf boxes, there is something for everyone.
You can wash it all down with a Lillet cocktail mixed with the perfect tonic from Franklin & Sons or a cold glass of craft beer, whilst shopping and relaxing to the live music that will be performing over the weekend.
