Beauty and the Beast comes to The Old Rep Birmingham
Wow, what a great time we had watching the fantastic show of Beauty and the Beast at The fabulous Old Rep in Birmingham. We went along knowing all about this classic story of love conquering all , so we sat back and waited for the timeless story to unfold.
We got classic and timeless plus we got a whole lot more with a super twist in the telling of the story!( I’m not going to say much more as I don’t want to spoil it) We were transfixed from the start and couldn’t take our eyes away from the stage with all the energetic dancing and superb singing. The children loved it!
Harper said it was magical and she loved the chase scene
Ava said she loved the Red Rose and the story telling
The cast were all absolutely brilliant and are an absolute credit to BOA, so professional.
Everyone sang their hearts out and all delivered outstanding performances.
Parents and teachers should be super proud of every single person involved from on the stage, to back stage and to the front of house.

The Old Rep Theatre announce ‘Beauty and the Beast’ as their
Christmas production for 2022
The Old Rep Theatre are delighted to announce that their Christmas show for 2022 will be the
timeless tale of Beauty and the Beast. The show will run from Friday 18th November – Friday
16th December. This will mark the seventh Christmas production that The Old Rep have
produced alongside the Birmingham Ormiston Academy (BOA) Group.
This musical adventure follows Belle, a beautiful and intelligent young woman, as she finds
herself trapped in an enchanted castle in the depths of the forest captured by the grotesque
Beast. Will she learn to love him for who he truly is and break the spell?
Following on from the huge success of Alice in Wonderland in 2021, comes a seasonal
adventure for the entire family. With spellbinding storytelling, set to an original score and a few
magical surprises along the way this re-imagining of a classic fairytale will excite, entertain and
leave you spellbound.
This production promises to be packed with spectacular costumes, catchy original songs,
creative choreography and plenty of fun which will make for an unmissable family treat this
festive season.

the BOA Group and the creative team behind last year’s wonderful ‘Alice in Wonderland’ to bring
