Secondary & Sixth Form Open Evenings in Leicester & Leicestershire, 2026

School Open Days In And Around Leicester

All the open evenings, open mornings and open days I’ve tracked down so far for this autumn’s Year 6 transfer, across state, independent and sixth form schools in and around Leicester. Listed alphabetically by school name. Please always double-check times and booking links directly with the school before you set off as details can shift, and some slots fill up fast. I’ll keep this page updated as more schools confirm their dates, and if I’ve missed one please let me know by emailing leicester@raring2go.co.uk.

Starting secondary school in September 2027? Applications open on 1 September 2026, and you must apply by 31 October 2026. Miss it, and you’re relying on late applications and a lot of hoping. Offers land on National Offer Day, 1 March 2027.

Page last updated 31st August 2026.

Dates still to be confirmed

A handful of other important local schools hadn’t published a firm 2026 date at the time of writing (or I couldn’t find it), but they’re too well-known in the patch to leave out, so here they are with contact details. Keep an eye on their websites and social pages, or ring the school office directly:

Independent schools

Independent schools run their own admissions process and timeline. There’s no 31 October deadline or National Offer Day to work around, and many also set an entrance assessment, so check each school’s own admissions page for how their process works alongside its open day.

Sixth form open events

For older siblings weighing up post-16 options:

Spotted a date that’s changed, or a school missing from this list? Let us know and I’ll look get it added. I’ll be keeping this page current as more open evenings are confirmed.
