Raring2go! Review of Enchanted Adventures Christmas Light Trail at Himley
This stunning light trail that returns to Himley Hall & Park for a second year is sure to be a festive hit for families.
Little ones will love the immersive displays and toddlers and babies especially will like the shimmering light displays and surprises along the path. However, the joy of the Enchanted Adventures light trail is that it appeals to people of all ages.
My two boys are older now so don’t want the full-on Christmas Grotto experience but, as a family, we still like to go out for some festive themed family time. The light trail is ideal -it provides a chance to get out in the fresh air and see something different.
There’s also a small fun fair with rides for all ages and stalls selling festive drinks, food and treats and a heated marquee to have a sit down in after you’ve walked the trail.
We were pleased to find out on the website that we could take our dog Rosie on the evening that we visited, who also enjoyed walking around the paths on her lead.
The trail has defined temporary paths which make it accessible to most wheelchairs, mobility scooters and pushchairs and keep the mud at bay.
The light show is based in Himley Hall’s walled garden, an area I have never been to before despite visiting Himley Park many times, and the paths wind up and down with themes around every corner.
Twinkling trees greet you as you enter the trail followed by a stunning laser display, snowy pathways, tiny trees, bauble kingdom, disco balls, gingerbread & candy cane grove, starbursts, light tunnel, and illuminated animal sanctuary with herds of magical reindeer.
A popular spot was the Grinch’s Grotto where a friendly actor happily posed for photos; a huge sleigh that families could climb into and the wishing wood where visitors are invited to write their wishes on a label and attach it to the trees.
The abundance of wishes on white card made for an impressive sight fluttering in the breeze, amongst the trees festooned with lights.
The Enchanted Adventures light trail is open every day from
4-8.30pm until Monday 29 December 2025.
