Everyone Active has officially arrived in Sheffield
Everyone Active has officially arrived in Sheffield – now managing the city’s sport and leisure facilities in partnership with Sheffield City Council.
These include our world-renowned sporting venues, such as Ponds Forge International Sports Centre and iceSheffield, as well as community leisure facilities, such as Heeley Pool & Gym, Hillsborough Leisure Centre and Springs Leisure Centre, plus the city’s three golf courses.
The longest established and most experienced leisure operator in the UK, Everyone Active is on a mission to get everybody doing at least 30 minutes of activity five times a week.
From award-winning swimming lessons and state-of-the-art fitness suites to innovative group exercise classes and sports sessions, Everyone Active has something for everyone – no matter your age, ability or interest.
Dedicated to improving health inequalities across Sheffield, Everyone Active will bring facilities, activities and services which are modern, welcoming and inclusive. This includes creating opportunities for underrepresented groups to stay active – such as lower income households, older individuals, and people living with a disability or long-term health conditions.
For local families, there is a wealth of kid-friendly activities to enjoy across the city. Whether your child wants to grow confidence in the water, learn how to ice skate, or become a skilled gymnast or footballer, Everyone Active has a jam-packed activities programme to get children active. Inclusive and adaptive sessions are also available.
If your child wants a birthday to remember, Everyone Active’s parties offer something a little fun and different. Whether it’s soft play, indoor football or TAGactive, there are a host of activity-based parties to choose from, complete with optional food catering and other add-ons.
On top of all that, Everyone Active’s one-of-a-kind Champions programme serves to highlight sporting excellence and outstanding individuals and/or groups within the city.
The programme encompasses the operator’s highly successful Sporting Champions scheme, which offers training support and mentoring sessions to athletes across the country to further their burgeoning careers. Fronted by athletics legend Colin Jackson, the scheme has been running since 2016 and has been responsible for more than £2million worth of support to more than 7,000 athletes.
New for 2025 is Community Champions – which aims to offer support to those making a difference to their own health and wellbeing or people within their local area. In addition, it will launch Colleague Champions to shine a light on Everyone Active colleagues exercising best practice in their centres or out in their local community.
