The go-to guide for you and your child

Could you help some Squirrels?

Do you know of a child who would like to be a Squirrel Scout?

Squirrels (boys and girls aged 4 and 5) is the youngest section in Scouts. It gives children the opportunity to develop social skills, to play games, to listen to a story and to do lots of different activities. These range from learning first aid to making fruit kebabs, and cooking marshmallows to science experiments. The children get the opportunity to earn badges such as Be Active, Brilliant Builder, Feel Good, Let it Grow , Let’s Celebrate and Super Chef.

With Dreys opening on a regular basis, we are looking for volunteers to help run them. Volunteering gives people an opportunity to meet others, helps build confidence and gives you a sense of pride, especially when the Squirrels finish the meeting often taking something home and with a big smile on their face.

Volunteering is flexible and we provide you with training, when you need it.
