Review: York Maze

York Maze has always been a firm family favourite, but we haven’t been since Covid, so we were excited to see what was new and different for 2023.

Year on year this place never disappoints, with its innovative and creative attractions and shows for families. And the corny jokes are never ending, which ensures no one gets a cob on. 😉🌽

One thing that really impressed us was the quality and variety of food options. Hot and cold food options are available, all high quality – and the corn (unsurprisingly) is to die for.

While it isn’t a cheap day out, it is excellent value for money. We arrived at 11am and stayed til 5.45pm, leaving after the foam party. It doesn’t close til 6.30pm – the kids are loving being able to nip around to everything more than once!

Our favourite ride is Crowmania, described by the lovely Josh (of York Theatre Royal panto fame) as a panto on wheels. We got wet battling the evil crows for Farmer Tom!

New for 2023 were the Cobsleigh and the the Sunflower maze, both of which were big hits with the children, and us! We also enjoyed Cornula One, a show that has replaced the racing pigs, and went down a storm with the audience. Lots of audience participation, and a York Maze favourite – water!Booking in advance is essention, and you can purchase your tickets here!
