South Downs Leisure Worthing

Works on the new sports hall floor at Worthing Leisure Centre will be completed by the new year following huge investment, having spent over £165,000 updating the sports hall as the fifteen year old flooring was showing signs of wear and tear. The new PULASTIC flooring gives a beautiful playing surface for a number of sports, with courts marked out for Badminton, Netball and Basketball. The flooring in studio 1 at Worthing Leisure Centre has also been replaced. All of this has been made possible through a collaboration between Badminton U.K, South Downs Leisure and Worthing Borough Council.

New flooring has also been installed throughout the gym at Splashpoint Leisure Centre too, where SDL have reinvested to upgrade the facilities. Hopefully you'll agree that the wood-effect flooring makes the gym more inviting.

Constantly looking to evolve their roster of classes to fit the needs of their  customers, SDL have introducing new classes such as Family Fitness, where the emphasis is on families exercising together.  And the usual Les Mills classes still prove as popular as ever as the Fitness Fiestas are testament to, highlighting new releases  and introducing classes such as BODYJAM, as well as the showcase of BODYPUMP 100, the 100th release - that's 25 years of BODYPUMP!

The walking sports that we host are going from strength to strength, with games such as Walking Football giving a social and active aspect back to the lives of the over 50's or those with impaired movement. Participation is steadily growing in these sports, with further walking sports being introduced in 2017.

SDL also offer special walk up rates at the Football Centre for juniors, where they can get 50% off pitch fees during off-peak times, helping to develop skills at a young age and keeping under 16's engaged.

In 2017 SDL look to offer you new events at, including the very popular  Open Air Theatre event at Field Place Manor House, we  Charles Dickens classic, Great Expectations on 30th June. However, this year they are also putting on a family event as well, by hosting Wind in the Willows on 30th. Tickets for both shows will be on sale later in the year and more information will be found on the Field Place Manor House website at:
