The Kids Arts College Worthing
Welcome to the Arts College children's website. Our art classes focus on developing children's fine motor muscles, observation development, creative thinking and psychology stimulation of their left and right brain. We teach children drawing and painting skills whilst exploring with art materials. Depending on their age, we adapt the techniques to suit the learning style of your child.
Justine, the founder of The Arts College and The Kids Art College has worked with children and adults in trauma, down syndrome, autistic, cerebral palsy, traumatic backgrounds, to individuals injured in car accidents, people who had brain tumors as well as dyslexia or who were wheel chair bound. The individually tailored courses reached the personalities with life changing results. Justine works individually with her clients and also offers training to companies, schools and supporting colleges/universities.
We have various options to suit your child's development to explore in the arts. In our regular art classes, children learn techniques from professional artists, explore with mediums from watercolour, acrylic, oil paints, drawing to sculpting as well as discovering new materials in the art market. This helps develop their skills to build portfolios for their future careers in the creative world. From aspiring photographers, designers, artists to architects - why not have the fundamental skills to be flexible in their careers?
We have just set up our after school Art Club in Worthing where your child can be messy, develop sensory as well as play with arts and crafts using simple short techniques. For more information please explore our classes page.
The Arts college provides parent workshops supporting you to learn how to ensure your child is developing emotionally and socially through creativity. This will give them the life long skills they need to be emotionally stable adults.
There is so much that can be offered, so please do visi the website or call Justine to discuss all the classes and workshops in more detail to ensure they meet your needs.
Naughty but nice Puddings!
Check out our delicious puddings, my favourite is the limoncello trifle, not suitable for the kids, but there are some other scrummy recipes that the whole family can enjoy! Take a look in our pudding section for recipes to make summer BBQ's and eating alfresco all the more tasty! My girls LOVE the chocolate pizza - making it, but mostly eating it!
Over the weekends and holidays there are always times when your children need some chill out time, or to fill an hour or so, or they say the dreaded 5 letter word - BORED! Well, our KidsZone is here to rescue you and them from these moments. Full of puzzles, colouring in sheets and activities from films and programmes there is lots to keep busy!
