Activ8 For Kids Inspiring Kids to be Active

Activities, Places2go

My name is Debbie Webb and I started Activ8 in 2012. I have been a teacher for over 20 years and have worked in schools, universities and for the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority. I have many years experience in the development of children and young people, both mentally and physically and I set up Activ8 to reach as many children and young people as possible.

Activ8 For Kids Ltd runs a variety of clubs and classes for children as young as 1 all the way to 14 years. Many of our classes run in schools, either before or after school. Although we also run sessions at leisure and community centres. All our classes have the aim of ‘Inspiring Children to be Active’ and focus on having fun and experiencing the benefits of being active. We cover a range of sports such as football, hockey, basketball, tennis, archery, athletics, running, dance, gymnastics, yoga and more. We also run multi sports sessions where children can experience a range of different activities and do not have to focus on just one.

Activ8 Health For Living CIC runs programmes in school to develop mental and physical well being amongst children. We have been running our ‘Happy Hearts’ programme in conjunction with Adur and Worthing Council for 4 years now and have worked with 1000’s of children, teaching them about their bodies and the importance of keeping healthy and active. We also run a programme called ‘5 Ways to Well being’ which is for children aged 10 and over and focuses more on the emotions and challenges they face as they get older. We give them the tools to help deal with these situations and feelings and help them to become mentally stronger.

We are always looking for new schools and groups to work with and would love to hear from you if you would like to get one of our classes or programmes into your child’s school or community.

At the moment all of our sessions are on hold due to the current pandemic. We are looking forward to restarting these as soon as it is safe to do so and are planning with schools for the future. We have also launched our own YouTube channel where we are aiming to put up some fun fitness and activity videos for you to use at home.
