Sat 15th April, 12pm-3pm. Vaisakhi 23, New Art Gallery Walsall. Join us to celebrate the creation of Vaisakhi in 1699 and travel through time from the days preceding and following the Khalsa Raj with a unique display of coins. Learn techniques of relaxation through Kundalini yoga, try on a turban to become a Maharaja for the day, enjoy bhangra performances from Gabhru Panjab De, get a Mehndi, take part in a craft workshop and hear a Walsall based charity talk about their adventurous work at home and abroad. All the community welcome. Free. Drop-in.

Sat 29 April. Eid-al-Fitr 23 at the New Art Gallery Walsall. Free, drop-in, 11am-3pm. All welcome. Learn about artist Nilupa Yasmin’s practice of photography and weaving and create your own paper weaving inspired by Ramadan, iftars, food and celebration.
