At Compton Care we provide free care and support for people living with incurable illnesses and their families. We support families to navigate every aspect of life with an incurable condition, including emotional and spiritual aspects such as bereavement support for those who need to express their thoughts, feelings and emotions throughout the duration of a person’s illness and after death.

Christmas is a special time for many people, but for some people it might be their last Christmas with family and friends. This Christmas, we’re encouraging people to share how they will be making Christmas matter to them, whether it’s volunteering in the local community or just spending the day in your pjs for the whole of Christmas Day! We’d love to hear about it, please share using the hashtag #MakeThisChristmasMatter and tag in Compton Care.

There are plenty of other ways you can support Compton this Christmas, why not pop to one of our local shops to get your Christmas cards, Treecycle with us or buy a SuperDraw ticket and have a chance of winning up to £3000? You can find out more about our Christmas campaign at

If you would like to support the work of Compton Care please visit, email or call 0300 323 0250.

We are delighted that Emma Purshouse, Poet Laureate for the City of Wolverhampton, kindly wrote a poem for us b6f3790a1fd378ff435924dfeae0c4c3.jpgand shares this poem in our Make This Christmas Matter video.

The stories she shares in the poem were taken from our patients, staff and volunteers. We hope that you enjoy the video! Our huge thanks to Emma as she wrote this poem free of charge for us.
