Codsall school girl has the ‘write’ stuff!
A Codsall pupil is the toast of her classmates after winning her school £150 of stationery.
Hannah Moule, from St Nicholas First School, had to tell judges what her favourite item of stationery was when she entered the competition in Raring2go! magazine, which is distributed to 16,000 children in their book bags in the Wolverhampton and South Staffordshire area.
Hannah wrote: “The handwriting pen. I was given it by my Year 3 teacher because she was impressed with my neat, joined up handwriting. She retired from my primary school today so I will remember her when I write.”
Her answer, inspired by her teacher Mrs O’Shea, won her a bundle of fab stationery from Black Country stationery firm Maped Helix as well as £150 worth of stationery for her school.
Jo Messinger, Editor of Raring2go! Magazine, presented the stationery prize to Hannah who accepted the prize on behalf of her school.
Jo said: “Hannah’s answer melted the judges’ hearts. I was delighted to present the prize to her on behalf of Maped Helix and Raring2go! and I hope the handwriting pens included in the prize will help lots of other children have neat, joined up writing too!”
Raring2go! is a comprehensive guide of what to do and where to go if you have children in Wolverhampton and South Staffordshire and is available for parents to browse online at www.raring2go.co.uk/wolverhampton
