The Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery
Our Saturday Arts Club for children aged 5-11 is a chance for children (and their parents) to experience working with real artists and creative practitioners. Children will be able to explore their creativity under the gentle guidance of Ruth Radcliffe, Benny Semp or one of our guest artists and be inspired by the lovely works in our exhibitions and displays.
Children can attend just one or all of the sessions; we don't take advance bookings but we do expect participants to be able to stay for most of the session. The sessions run from 10.30am-12.30pm.
Please note - tickets for children (accompanying adults free if they want to stay) are £5 per head from the learning zone at the start of the session.
We will be offering the participants the opportunity to work towards the Explore or Discover Arts Award as part of these sessions.
For more information please call Sarah English, Informal Learning Officer on 0121 348 8266 or by email. Check online for dates.
Over the weekends and holidays there are always times when your children need some chill out time, or to fill an hour or so, or they say the dreaded 5 letter word - BORED! Well, our KidsZone is here to rescue you and them from these moments. Full of puzzles, colouring in sheets and activities from films and programmes there is lots to keep busy!
