Kip McGrath Education Centre - Ossett
Professional Tutoring in English and Maths at the Kip McGrath Ossett Centre
Kip McGrath offer expert tuition in English, reading, spelling and maths for children aged 6-16. They also provide help and support to those students working towards SATs, Entrance exams and GCSEs.
Lesley-Ann Horder, the Centre Director of Kip McGrath Ossett has over 20 years teaching experience. For the last 16 years she has taught in a Wakefield school and held the post of Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator and Deputy Headteacher there.
Parents who are interested in our service are invited to bring their child along for a diagnostic assessment, which is free of charge. This determines the areas of strength and difficulty and identifies the individual learning needs of the student. It also gives parents and students the opportunity to meet with the staff, see the centre and decide if they want to enrol.
Tuition takes place after school and at weekends with each teaching session lasting 80 minutes. Children are taught on a 1:1 basis within a small group of up to 5.
Each child works at his/her own pace. They are challenged and extended but never overwhelmed. The aim is give them the confidence and skills needed to achieve their full potential. Progress is carefully monitored and assessed. There is a strong emphasis on motivation and success.
Kip McGrath Ossett provides a relaxed, friendly and positive learning environment where children feel safe, comfortable and happy.
