During our Postcards Project Family Sessions, you can design incredible images to go on your own pack of four postcards inspired by the Arts Council Collection artworks in the exhibition, ‘Where We Are Now’.
When you’re done, choose one to post back to Sunderland Museum and Winter Gardens and pop it in our post box. You can take the others home to keep or give to friends and family!
26 July - Pets on the Loose
We love animals: our pets as well as the wildlife that we live alongside. They make us smile, they can be really cheeky, and they see the world in a different way to us. What would happen if your pet (or a favourite animal if you don’t have a pet) went on an adventure?
2 August - Adventure Awaits
It’s adventure time! When you leave your house, what do you pack with you? A snack, tissues, your lucky pencil? Now imagine you’re going on an adventure. Where will you travel to?
9 August - Postcards From Home
Where’s your favourite place in your home? What’s your favourite thing to do at home? Maybe you love to cook, or dress up, or play computer games. If you could design your house however you liked, how would you design it?
16 August - Over the Rainbow
At the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic, lots of people designed rainbows to hang in their windows as messages of hope and togetherness. What do you think of when you see a rainbow now?
