Kids on the Catwalk
CHILDREN love taking part in Fashion Shows and the Kids on the Catwalk Fashion Shows for primary schools are really entertaining events that the whole family can enjoy. With minimum amount of work, they are great fun for the children and are an easy way for the PTA to raise much needed funds.
For the last 21 years, many schools have raised in excess of £500 from each show and many now book up year on year, as they recognise just how much enjoyment the children get, and what a boost to school funds they make.
If your school hasn’t held a fashion show before, or if your PTA has recently changed, here’s how it works.
We ask for between 30 and 60 children of primary age to model. No experience is needed – just enthusiasm, which is usually in abundance! Before the show starts, we run a creative workshop to teach the children some dance moves and some of the older children also have the opportunity to learn a routine of their own.
The actual show is about 45 minutes long and is all set to music and is followed by a grand finale. Shows can early evening or on a Saturday
afternoon – whenever works best.
How does the PTA make money?
You keep the entrance fee that’s usually charged to watch the performance, plus refreshment and raffle ticket sales. After the show the children’s clothes are available for purchase and the PTA will also earn commission on all sales (after reaching a set minimum).
An easy event for the PTA
We know how busy PTA staff are and so we provide everything you will need - the posters and model permission slips, trained DBS checked staff, the music, and of course all the clothing. All the PTA needs to do is to organise the refreshments and raffle, take the money on the door and provide 5-6 helpers.
Book your Fashion Show by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or if you’re not on the PTA, tell your PTA about us - visit www.kidsonthecatwalk.co.uk

Now that we are in autumn everyone is looking for things to do with the kids to celebrate this lovely colourful season. Here we have some great ideas, and they don't all involve being cooped up indoors! Get out and enjoy the cooler, fresh air and the crunchy leaves under foot - you can always return home afterwards for a hot chocolate and a snuggle
