St Albans Cathedral Parish Junior Singers
The St Albans Cathedral Parish Junior Singers is a choir for children aged from their 7th birthday up to about 14. They meet in the crypt of the Cathedral on Thursdays in term time at 5-6pm. There are no auditions. A red t shirt is provided for singing at services. The 'PJs', as they are known, sing at the 9.30 am Sunday service in the Cathedral on the second Sunday of each month. We learn hymns and anthems for our services, but sing lots of other music just for fun too, and work on our good singing habits and techniques. We also sing at two of the Christmas Carols on the Hour services in the Cathedral on the Saturday before Christmas. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org or turn up one term time Thursday at about 4.55pm (no rehearsal on 13 October). Membership of PJs is currently free.
Naughty but nice Puddings!
Check out our delicious puddings, my favourite is the limoncello trifle, not suitable for the kids, but there are some other scrummy recipes that the whole family can enjoy! Take a look in our pudding section for recipes to make summer BBQ's and eating alfresco all the more tasty! My girls LOVE the chocolate pizza - making it, but mostly eating it!
Over the weekends and holidays there are always times when your children need some chill out time, or to fill an hour or so, or they say the dreaded 5 letter word - BORED! Well, our KidsZone is here to rescue you and them from these moments. Full of puzzles, colouring in sheets and activities from films and programmes there is lots to keep busy!
