Beginners Irish Dancing classes

Irish Dancing classes

Classes are available for children age 4+ providing lessons for all ages and abilities

All classes are based upon the child enjoying all aspects of dance and most of all having fun & making friends.

Come along the first class is free

Classes start Saturday 29th March 2014

The school is run and founded by Louise Walsh, registered teacher with Coimisiún le Rincí Gaelacha Dublin -www.clrg.ie 

Louise started dancing at the age of 5 with Kathleen Murray school of Irish dancing.  During her 20 years of dancing Louise competed at many local and National competitions including the Great Britain championships, British Nationals, European Championships and Southern regional Oireachtas. Louise went on to tour the world with the Gaelforce dance troupe for 3 years. 

After a successful Irish dancing career Louise retired from competing to pursue her dream and pass on her passion and flare for Irish dancing to the local community, the next generation of dancers and become an Irish dancing teacher.

In November 2013 Louise passed her TCRG exam with honours. Shortly afterwards in 2014 Louise set up the Louise Academy of Irish dancing in St Albans, Hertfordshire.

Are you looking for a group of dancers to perform at your upcoming event  in 2016  or 2017, look no further. Our dancers perform at many local events including summer fayres, festivals and weddings. Now that we are in autumn everyone is looking for things to do with the kids to celebrate this lovely colourful season. Here we have some great ideas, and they don't all involve being cooped up indoors! Get out and enjoy the cooler, fresh air and the crunchy leaves under foot - you can always return home afterwards for a hot chocolate and a snuggle

Have fun if you are going to an event or having friends and family round at home. It includes safety rules for sparklers too! You will also be able to download our Fireworks Code poster to display if you are hosting an event.
