Cotswold Wildlife Park and Gardens - Oxfordshire

The Park is divided into four sections each with its own team of keepers to care for the animals in those areas.

Set in over 160 acres of beautiful parklands the Park has an amazingly diverse collection of species many of which are endangered in the wild. Our dedicated and caring Keepers are passionate about the animals in their care and the opportunity to share their knowledge with the public.

Our beautiful gardens are carefully tended by our creative team of gardeners who make every corner of the Park a joy to visit.

Come and visit and enjoy the Park with us!

As well as plenty of seasonal events, Cotswold Wildlife Park also has a range of activities that run daily throughout the year.

Penguin feeding takes place every day at 11.00am and 3.00pm in the Walled Garden. There are keepers on hand to answer questions.

Visit our spectacular “Madagascar” walk-through at 12 noon to find out more about the fascinating creatures of this unique island and the conservation projects that we are involved in. One of our keepers will introduce you to our Lemurs and the other species that share this exhibit.

There is no routine to our big cat feeding times; in the wild they will gorge themselves on a meal and probably not feed again for several days. We do our best to simulate natural conditions so our big cats are not fed daily.

All the animals in the children’s farmyard may be approached and in some cases will allow themselves to be touched or stroked. After touching the animals we do recommend that you wash your hands using the hand washing facilities at the farmyard.

The narrow-gauge railway runs during April to October (weather permitting) and takes you all around the Park: All fares £1.00, under 3’s free of charge.

A popular brass-rubbing centre is situated in the Manor House, open during school holidays and summer weekends. There are a number of brass plates of animal and other subjects in various sizes. All paper and waxes are supplied, prices range from £1.00 to £2.50.

‘Skymaze’ has interconnecting treehouses with jungle bridges and slides, climbing to a bird’s eye view of the Park over 20 feet high! There is also a separate large tree house with slide, adventure area, swings and space net. For little ones there is a ‘Mini Manor’ with slides and interconnecting treehouses, a mini zip wire and sand pit.
