Ice Sheffield opened in 2003 and was purpose built to offer the chance to skate to people of all ages and abilities. The venue has hosted a range of prestigious events including the Ice Dance Championships and dry events such as the National Judo Championships.
The cool and contemporary surroundings of iceSheffield are ideal for entertainment and unique events. iceSheffield boasts two Olympic ice pads and offers recreational skating to visitors of all ages and abilities and local schools including, learn to skate and ice hockey lessons, leisure skate sessions and curling.
Sheffield's prestigious Ice Academy supports elite skaters and is a National Centre of Excellence for figure skating, ice dance and ice hockey. iceSheffield also offers a dazzling space for large scale conferences and events and has facilities for everything from intimate meetings to exhibitions for up to 1500 people.
Ice Skating Public Sessions
Our ice skating sessions take place on one of our two Olympic sized pads with sessions including simply skate, adults only, family skate and our popular Friday night BOOM.
Ice Skating Lessons
Learn to Skate is for skaters of all ages and abilities. Courses and coaches are all approved by the National Ice Skating Association (NISA). Our pre-school Penguin Club is our very own parent and toddler group on ice with penguin skating aids, balls and other interactive toys.
Ice Hockey Lessons
Learn to Play at iceSheffield offers a structured coaching programme offering a great introduction to the sport delivered by our experienced coaches.
Altitude High Ropes Adventure Course
Adjacent to iceSheffield is an urban high ropes adventure course, Altitude (managed by iceSheffield), with challenging obstacles set at varying heights above the ground including rope bridges, scramble nets, swinging logs and balance beams.
