Rap-Aid will be opening their new youth facility based at the Mrs Howard Memorial Hall in Letchworth Garden City, in early March 2008. The facility which boasts a range of services for young people is run by Rap-Aid staff. Rap-Aid has been delivering a range of projects and support services for young people over the last six yoars as well as organising the Rap-Aid musical festival in Letchworth over the last four summers. The new centre will include: Music Studio The music studio will incorporate some of the most advanced Apple Technology for recording and music production. Young people will be paired with local music producers to laern music composition and a host of other music related skills. Youth Relaxation Area A brand new soft seating area with widescreen television and the latest gaming facilities. Cyber Suite A brand new IT facility, where young people can take part in curriculum based studies or have access to the latest digital media and internet facilities Multi user Games Area/ Dance Studio Upstairs there is a multi user games area that young people will have access to. Incorporating traditional games (pool, snooker, table soccer, etc). This area will also double up to provide a fully functional dance studio.
