First Coding: Creative coding for kids
If your son or daughter is mad about computer games, why not turn their interest into a valuable skill set that will help them in the future?
First Coding offers coding lessons to children from 7 years old and above. With a focus on fun, the courses give children a solid understanding of the basics of computer coding. They'll be creating their own apps and programs in no time, and can progress through different levels of expertise as their confidence develops.
With the programming industry set to continue to grow and government plans to nurture coding in schools, an early understanding of the principles of coding will set your child on the right path for success.
Classes are held in Salisbury and are available from beginner to expert levels.
Young Coders is for children aged 7-9 years. The four week course is ideal for KS2 children who Pupils will learn how to create colourful and amusing animations and build fun interative programs, all whilst learning important concepts and gaining confidence in computer programming through the visual language of Scratch.
The Introductory Course is designed with 10-14 year olds in mind. Students will learn about game design and building. They will work towards programming their very own Space Invaders game whilst covering other topics to allow them to build on their ideas after the course.
The Advance Course builds on topics covered in previous modules and children move on to building their own Chatbot. It is also suitable for those aged 15+ years.
