easibirthing® has been running group hypnobirthing classes and one-to-one training in Salisbury for over 11 years
Ideal for first time mums and dads-to-be and couples who have children already.
" How would you describe your childbirth experience? Fantastic-it was very intense but it was not at all scary. I could not have asked for a better birth. All my anxiety surrounding birth completely disappeared and I felt fully in control, working with my baby, so that ultimately meeting her was amazing." Rachel and Mark, 1st baby, March 2016
"Thank you so much in helping us with another brilliant birth experience-it was really powerful. I really feel like it gave me that extra bit of inner strength and belief I needed." Kat and Jon, October 2016, second easibirthing® birth
Hypnobirthing isn't teaching you how to give birth. You don't need to attend a course of any kind for that; your body and your baby already know how to bring that baby forth. What you are learning through hypnobirthing is how to gracefully step out of the way and let them get on with it.
That requires a few things:
· Trust that your body and baby can do this
· Confidence that you have the right people around you and you feel safe and comfortable enough to let go
· Familiarity with that no-higher brain, no thinking, relaxed state that you can easily slip into and tune out distractions.
" We LOVE hypnobirthing! More and more of our clients are using it and we always discuss it as a resource when we book our clients and explain the huge benefits to both parents and babies. Of course as midwives who have more ways of assessing a labour than just vaginal examinations, it can be a bit tricky to accurately gauge where a woman is in her labour when she is hypnobirthing. There has been more than one occasion when I arrived at a labour and thought 'This woman isn't in labour!' only to be surprised by the baby's arrival an hour later! " Jacqui Tomkins, British Journal of Midwifery Midwife of the Year, 2014
Each birth is unique, and easibirthing® is about empowering you to manage your individual experience, not fear it.
We train you to use self-hypnosis, relaxation, visualisation and breathing methods to prepare mind and body for birth. The easibirthing® method teaches you how to use hypnosis for pain management and aims to boost your trust in your body so you enter labour feeling calm, confident and in control.
A full 7 hour course is £120 for a woman attending (£180 for a woman and her birth partner).
OR £80 for each 90 minute one-to-one session (5 recommended for the full course) at 15 New Street, Salisbury
