Salisbury Cathedral School is pleased to be offering a brand new set of scholarships for children entering the school in September 2019. Our scholarships will be awarded on the basis of excellence in various disciplines across different areas of school life.
Scholarships will be awarded to children for the duration of their time at the school on the expectation that they continue to develop and make progress at the rate expected of a scholar by the relevant department. Each scholarship will also have its own individual requirements which can be requested by contacting the admissions department.
In our unique setting within Salisbury Cathedral’s ancient walls sits our remarkable, happy and thriving co-educational day and boarding school for children aged 3-13 years. We are lucky to have the beautiful 800 year old Bishop’s Palace as the setting for our 21st century classrooms.
Our focus is on the pastoral care and guidance that we provide for all our boys and girls; it is a place where personality grows. In education, happiness and confidence is King! SCS children may find their unique sense of character through the music they sing or play, on the sports field or in one of the many opportunities available to them - probably in a number of different areas.
All our pupils are nurtured in our happy, thriving environment and are encouraged to participate fully in all aspects of their school life. Scholars are expected are expected to set the highest standards within their disciplines and in return the school will ensure they are supported to develop within their disciplines and become immersed in Salisbury Cathedral School life.
Pupils transfer, mainly at 13, to a diverse range of senior schools. Last academic year, 14 pupils in a cohort of 18 achieved Academic, All-Rounder, Music, Drama, DT and Sport scholarships to leading public schools, with 3 obtaining a Specialist Music Award at Wells Cathedral School, one of the leading music schools in the country. We look forward to offering a range of new scholarships in Music, Sports and Academics to September 2019 entrants.
