Ingredients

  • 135g Plain Flour
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • Pinch Salt
  • 2 tbsp Caster Sugar
  • 130ml Milk
  • 1 Egg, beaten
  • 2 tbsp Melted Butter

Method

My girls prefer these to normal pancakes-as long as they are smothered in chocolate spread of course!
  1. Melt the butter in a separate bowl, leave to cool
  2. Mix the flour, salt, sugar and baking powder in a bowl together
  3. Add the egg to the butter and mix
  4. Add the wet ingredients to the dry and mix-any lumps will go with mixing
  5. The mixture is thicker than normal pancake batter
  6. Use a small amount of lard or oil to grease the frying pan
  7. Spoon mixture in circles (ish!) onto warm pan
  8. leave pancakes until they start to bubble at the top and then you can turn them over
  9. Serve with anything! Maple Syrup, bacon, icecream, chocolate spread etc!
