Wimborne Model Town
Superb one tenth scale model town - showing the town centre of historic Wimborne Minster as it was in the 1950s.
Over 100 shop window displays provide a nostalgic insight into the goods and services available to the folk of Wimborne 60 years ago.
Set in beautiful prize winning gardens with lots of seating.
Additional attractions include Wendy Street, a safe play area for youngsters, '00' gauge Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends model railway layout. Families enjoy the challenge of the sunflower garden putting lawn.
Tea rooms serve freshly prepared hot and cold food and drink throughout the day. Souvenir gift shop packed full of exciting and unusual gift ideas. The whole site is disabled friendly.
King St is a few minutes level walk from the town centre, 150yds west of the Minste and opposite the public car park.
Wimborne Model Town is open 10am-5pm.
Naughty but nice Puddings!
Check out our delicious puddings, my favourite is the limoncello trifle, not suitable for the kids, but there are some other scrummy recipes that the whole family can enjoy! Take a look in our pudding section for recipes to make summer BBQ's and eating alfresco all the more tasty! My girls LOVE the chocolate pizza - making it, but mostly eating it!
Over the weekends and holidays there are always times when your children need some chill out time, or to fill an hour or so, or they say the dreaded 5 letter word - BORED! Well, our KidsZone is here to rescue you and them from these moments. Full of puzzles, colouring in sheets and activities from films and programmes there is lots to keep busy!
