Victoria Recreation Ground
Victoria Recreation Ground is a large recreation park with a cricket pitch, tennis courts and football pitch.
The playground is well-equipped with a large play area towards the Endsleigh Gardens end of the Rec. It has a really good mix of equipment so there is something for all ages including a set of smaller swings which is really well suited to babies. The sandpit in the middle gets good use and there is a variety of climbing equipment which should tempt older kids to get active.
Some mums don't like the size of the playground as it can be difficult to see frome one end to the other. Personally, I love the variety of equipment and the fact that it suits toddlers and older kids alike.
Take along a picnic rug and have a picnic on the wide open space afterwards.
Now that we are in autumn everyone is looking for things to do with the kids to celebrate this lovely colourful season. Here we have some great ideas, and they don't all involve being cooped up indoors! Get out and enjoy the cooler, fresh air and the crunchy leaves under foot - you can always return home afterwards for a hot chocolate and a snuggle
