Baggeridge Country Park & Nature Reserve

Baggeridge Country Park and Nature Reserve is 150 acres of fabulous country park. It was originally Baggeridge Colliery and part of the Himley Estates of the Earls of Dudley. If you're feeling particularly energetic you can even walk over to Himley! Just follow the marked trails.

Whether you're looking for a great day out for the whole family or if you're pushed for time and just looking to give them a quick run around, Baggeridge Park is the ideal location. You'll just need some change for the car park (£1.30 for all day parking).

There is an adventure playground, split into two age appropriate areas. For the younger children they can have hours of fun digging in the sand and playing on the slide and swings. The older children can practise their balance and agilty on the swinging bridges, rope ladders and slides.

Wildlife Pond dipping, bat walks and bug hunts, if it's nature you're after you'll get it in abundance at Baggeridge Park. The Park Rangers run a variety of activites throughout the year and there are information boards around the park with details of the local inhabitants. And don't not forget to bring some bread for the ducks!

There's a great miniature railway at Baggeridge Park which is operated by volunteers. There's no charge for the trip, they just ask for donations. Lots of fun for young and old. Events Events run throughout the year at Baggeridge Park and range from horse riding to folk festivals to halloween fun.

Baggeridge Country Park has recently opened a new Mountain Bike Trail, enabling families to get fit and healthy together. The trail is ideal for families with older children and forms a 2 mile figure of 8 circuit.
